The BFM® fitting flexible connector range is renowned for its 100% seal, making dust control in bulk processing plants much more manageable.
Previously, one of the most problematic areas for many of these plants has been bulk bag loading. This is because transferring a large quantity of powders in a relatively short time results in a lot of displaced air, naturally creating process dust. It can leak out of the bag connection and into the plant if improperly managed, becoming a combustible dust explosion risk.
Another common problem concerns hand safety for loading operators. Most bulk bag loading options on the market have clamps or use inflatable bladders that push out against a bracing element to create a seal on the bag's neck—both present potential pinch-point dangers for staff when fitting the bag necks.
BFM® wanted to incorporate the advantages of the BFM® fitting system design to create an efficient, easy-to-use bag-loading head that also solved these leakage and staff safety challenges.
BFM® Bulk Bag Loader: The cleaner, safer, more efficient filling option
The result was the innovative BFM® Bulk Bag Loader. It boasts a three-layered inflatable filling head that simply snap-fits into a BFM® spigot adaptor welded to the outlet chute. Crafted with a stainless-steel central core and enveloped in BFM®'s robust and pliable Seeflex urethane, this loader is easy to use, and is being embraced by some of the world's biggest food and chemical manufacturers to keep their plants cleaner and staff safer.

Once inflated, the Seeflex layer securely supports the bag neck, keeping it upright and open for a seamless and tidy filling process. After loading is completed, the outer sleeve can be effortlessly deflated in seconds, simplifying the bag's removal. The patented snap-fit connection of the BFM® fitting not only enhances efficiency but also makes it easier to disassemble, clean, and replace compared to other connector and filling head options.
The Bulk Bag Loader is made from BFM®'s unique Seeflex urethane. This material is stronger, more flexible, and more durable than traditional silicone or rubber-based products that deteriorate with repeated inflations.
