Our spigots and connectors are designed to fit together perfectly and they come in standardized sizes to make your inventory control so much easier - but how exactly are they measured?

We asked our Technical Lead, Matthew Bailey, to explain how both products are measured in this quick video.

In this video, Matthew covers the following:

  • how and where the diameter of spigots is measured
  • the length of spigots and how far you can cut down the tail
  • where exactly the connector length is measured from to

It pays to check the appropriate length of your connectors and the spigots when you are preparing a new installation by using our BFM® fitting Installation Gap Calculator.  This will ensure that you have the right measurements for the available space.  This is particularly important if there is any movement involved.
